Product Name | mtCheck™ Phosphoglycerate Kinase Assay Kit (Microplate) (KITA1029) |
Description | Phosphoglycerate Kinase is a key enzyme for glycolysis. It is widely present in animals, plants, and microorganisms. It catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate, and produces 1 molecule of ATP, which has an impact on DNA replication and repair and stimulates biological functions such as viral RNA synthesis, and are widely used in drug target design. Phosphoglycerate kinase catalyzes 3-phosphoglycerate and ATP to produce 1,3-diphosphoglycerate and ADP. 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate produces 3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase and NADH under the action of 3-phosphoglyceraldehyde dehydrogenase and NADH. For glyceraldehyde phosphate, NAD and phosphoric acid, the absorbance change at 340nm reflects the activity of Phosphoglycerate kinase. |
