| Description |
This kit is based on the detection of changes in mitochondrial membrane potential in cells through the cationic lipophilic JC-10 dye. In normal cells, the JC-10 dye is concentrated in the mitochondria and emits red fluorescence. However, in apoptotic and necrotic cells, JC-10 diffuses out of the mitochondria into a monomeric form and emits green fluorescence. Compared to the JC-1 dye, JC-10 has better water solubility. |
