| Description |
This product is a colorimetric assay for the determination of glutathione reductase (GR) activity in cells, tissues, or other samples. Glutathione reductase reduces oxidized glutathione (GSSG) to produce reduced glutathione (GSH), which reacts with the chromogenic substrate DTNB to produce yellow TNB and GSSG, and the amount of TNB can be determined by measuring the absorbance at A412. The amount of yellow TNB produced and the activity of glutathione reductase are linearly correlated. The level of glutathione reductase activity can thus be calculated by measuring the A412 absorbance value. |
